I'm not sure of the exact years, but Schwinn's troubles began circa 1999 when Veltec(?) sold the brand to Pacific(?), which put them in dept. stores. However, I had a 2000 Homegrown and it was awesome. This will be a fun project.

W wickedwheels Old School Hero Jan 8, 2007 #4 It's a good frame You've got a nice frame there. It's about a '96. These were built by Yeti, who were in bed with Schwinn at the time. I used to sell these back then. By the way, it wasn't Veltec who owned Schwinn.
