The serial number begins 96B

Does this indicate a 1996? Any experts out there?

I'm not sure of the exact years, but Schwinn's troubles began circa 1999 when Veltec(?) sold the brand to Pacific(?), which put them in dept. stores. However, I had a 2000 Homegrown and it was awesome.

This will be a fun project.

You've got a nice frame there. It's about a '96. These were built by Yeti, who were in bed with Schwinn at the time. I used to sell these back then.

By the way, it wasn't Veltec who owned Schwinn.
