Hey, what a neat mud guard on the Merlin, is it quick release ?

Am thinking of putting a shopping basket on the front of my Saracen for my cat.

Had a childseat on my Xizang for the last 9 years, just moved up to a trailer bike. You can go faster downhill with a trailer as you can't hear your kid screaming so much. :)

My gods, that is awful to see, a fine cross country racing bike yoked up to a kiddy trailer, a bit like a stallion being harnessed to a cart, what humiliation. But I suppose to look at it another way, it is showing the versatility of the machine.

When yanking that thing, do you ever get the urge to just shift down and blast off or is it a racer tamed ?

With the trailer isn't too bad, but as he is new to it I haven't been over 15mph yet, when I had the seat on the back I regularly did over £30mph down hill.

On the trails it had to be less because of the bouncing of the seat off my back tyre - I added bungees round the seat post to reduce this though.
