q: doesnt look alloy

chromoly is an alloy

many people use alloy where they mean aluminium alloy....

technically isn't that correct? Chromoly is a steel alloy isn't it? It's just that common parlance has alloy=aluminium.

hahaha - yeah - it is technically correct - but it is also the most common question asked on trademe......

loads of people buy an "alloy" frame and then complain when they dont get an aluminium frame
