Right - talking of pumps - has anyone found a decent compact one that won't break first time its used?
I currently carry a fat Zefal mountain bike pump which is 100% reliable, but kinda bulky. 100% reliability wins

I've used/borrowed a number of modern/fancy compact pumps but all have been a pain in the @rse to use and most have broken easily.

Have a brilliant solid brass adaptor which sits between CO2 cartridge and presta valve on my road bike. Simple but again 100% reliable. Haven't yet found a similar simple schrader adaptor for CO2 - any out there :?:

Topeak Mountain Morph or Road Morph, tough as old boots, survived being landed on during crashes and still works.

:D :D :D

I broke 3 pumps last years including a swanky Crank Bros one. A fourth one fell out of my camel back too. I now have my original alloy period Mt. Zefal pump jammed between seat and chain stay when ever I go out. No worries!

I've had a Topeak Mountain Air (now discontinued) for years and it is tough as you need and pumps with reasonable efficiency.
