Orange Prestige forks?

What length are 1993 Orange Prestige forks meant to be(Axle to crown)? 395mm? and what kinda forks can they take, and by that I mean keeping the geo sweet? My old one had rigids and was great BITD. but I have newer skool MX comps with this, vague measurement of 450mm (A-C).


How hard is it to get 1" forks and stuff? any tips for my search please? (even poss new stuff :idea: ) Some Pace would be nice, but up against some scene tax I guess.

" 1" " is really annoying to search for, doesn't work.

I must admit as nice as the 'zocchis are they are 5lb and do not really suit the frame meaning aheadset and stem would need replacing too.

I did ponder fitting some On-One Carbon Fibre forks but guess they only come in 1 1/8 anyway

any wisdom to share?

All I need to know is; is 440/450mm length too long for this frame?

Some Pace RC36 (90mm travel?) have come up same length, is it too much and can they be easily lowered?

My thoughts last night were to respray the Marzocchis and balls to the retrolessness of em!
