Identifying a rim with missing decals

Is there anyway to identify a rim if all the decals are off it? Is there any other markings a manufacturer uses? I have a front wheel with an old 90's DX hub on it. I have no clue what the rim is and would like to know if's any good or if it's garbage. Here are some pics of the rim.

Could be a old bonty they had a very square profile like that.

If it is one from memory fitting conti wire bead tyres was a real bugger.

Give it a try if you can do it without the need for half a dozen tyre levers could be one.

You can eliminate DT straight away because the butting on their spokes is more gradual and therefore less noticeable. Not sure about Sapim though as I don't deal with them much. :?

okay how the heck did u know what spokes they are??? :?

the harsh butting is a wheelsmith style butting, though it would be easy to confirm with a big W and the spoke head.

I've not seen other spokes use that style.
