I bought a frame and fork off Legrandefromage that he rescued from the skip.

The frame is a Falcon Pathfinder, made of lugged Reynolds 500 tubing with a longish wheel base and is yellow in colour. Has a canti stop and a unicrown fork, there is little clearance for 1.95" wide tyres that suggest 1.75" were originally intended.

I know Falcons are not liked but does anyone know roughly what age it might be, I'm guessing late 80's/early 90's.

I like it, it handles well now I've built it up and seems well made and quite tough, plus its not too heavey.

Thanks for any help you might give.

The bike makes its Debut at Jedburgh this weekend :D

Probably late 80s rather than early 90s.
Nothing wrong with Reynolds 500. Less than a full waterbottle's difference weight between it and a frame made of Reynolds 853.
