Sorted out some nice ceramic rims for my Attitude. I am using XTR M900 canti's on the Klein. Are there special XTR pads for the cermaic rims or do I need to use replacement pads?

Thanks,
Martin

ceramic rims came around 97. M900 went out in 95.

Shimano only ever made ceramic pads for V-brakes.

Thank you, now I know where to search for.

Btw I have got the 217 1996 ceramics so pretty period correct'ish :)

My 117Sup Ceramics are way older than 97, even my 217s are older. I ran grey koolstop claws with good life, did't find any difference between the regular or ceramic magura pads.

Its worth noting that ceramic is very aggressive on ALL pads when new, but smooths out quite quickly, and wears pads out like regular rims, without the associated sidewall wear

On reflection you are right...

I for some reason had it in my head that Ceramic rims came in at the same time as Crossmaxes.

Think before you speak....
