The frames of all the edge bikes were identical, it was only the components that varied. In my 94 catalogue the brazing looks much messier and bigger than on your frame, and rock shox was not a fork option, only pace rc35. I suggest that it isn't a 94 model, but could be wrong.

I'm sure i have the mbuk test of it too somewhere, again, scanner isn't working

Do you think that it would be earlier or later for finer brazing? What's the timeline of the two forks? What period were RC35's produced and what period for the Rockshox mag20's?

Be great if you could find the article, perhaps we could figure something out? Have you got a digital camera perhaps?

Cheers.
Dave.

I remember there was an Edge in 1987 - 531 frame, XT group and U-brake. Dawes were the first mass-market 'traditional' bike maker in the UK to launch a quality mountain bike range.

Found this review from BUMUK 1990 (Vol 3 No9). The following year I think they went green-ish or blue-ish.
Same review as my old Carrera.
Hope that helps a bit.

1994 Range. Identical frames bar colour. The three models reflect what kit they came with.

That's fantastic 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Thanks loads for those.

Easy Rider, I know that you don't have access to a scanner at the moment but I would really appreciate it if you could do a hi-res scan of the edge team photo when you can mate. Then I can get the decals copied as close as I can and do some artwork to get the new decals made.

Many thanks again.
Dave.

Now your asking for it! The scanner, when it's working, is a 19,200dpi resolution  I tried scanning a postage stamp years ago at full res for a laugh, computer couldn't handle it, maybe my new one can..... right gone way off topic now.

Anyway, i'll give it a go, but the Edge Team is only a small photo (3" x 2") compared to the other Edge bikes, not sure how well it will come out.
