Which cassette M737 or HG70 to go with XT thumbies?

I need a new cassette & chain - it's to pair up with my XT thumbshifters

I want 8 speed, so do I go M737 or HG70?

Or can I get the M950 titanium 8 speed (which needs an IG chain - aren't these narrower?)

SRAM or Shimano chain?

erg ... might go singlespeed .....

M737 is just dandy.

Sram PC58 is good on anything 8 speed though shimano IG is smoother.

I use Sram PC58 with M900 XTR over M737 8sp with DX thumbs just fine.
IG50 over Sachs Maillard 12 21 8sp with Campag mechs and Ultegra down tube shifters. Also fine.

It's down to weather you like black links or not! I don't off road.

gotta go for the 8sp XTR, its ti!! and dirty cheap (relatively) for what you get if you shop about. Works fine with thumbies. I only ever use SRAM chains too - hate that stupid pin thing!!
