Anyone remember the sports of mountainbiking and windsurfing being linked in the eighties?

Not sure what it was all about (or of I imagined it) but I'm sure windsurfing shops did stock bikes round my way.

Anyone shed any light?

Leisurelakes near Southport stocked both into the mid nineties I'm sure. It was definitely watersports if not specifically windsurfing.

I got my Orange X1 frame there.

Lots of good mountain bike shops came out of the 80's windsurfing boom. sShockwave in nottingham lesiure lakes and a whole host of stores on the south coast. Many then dabbled in snowboarding and have finally moved into raod bikes.
