Still night, clear sky. Perfect riding. Meet boys at Man Cave instead. Fettling ahead. Project make cx bike climb hills better off road. Dump Ultegra geartrian for XT then. Knobbly-er tyres. Drink tea. Eat cold pizza. Eat cookies and cake and drink more tea. Off home happy and strangely calm for a missed riding opportunity. Best almost ride of my life.

wish i had that much room ,i had 3 bikes in here only a few months ago and enough bits to build a other 3 and yes i know it needs tidying up

Tis a sad day at Dr S towers. Today was the last Saturday in my man cave. 9 and a half years and the doors have closed for the last time. No more quiet Saturdays fettling the bikes or the Alfa. No more sharing Hobnobs with the Robin. No more quiet enjoyment of the nesting swallows in spring or watching the Deer on misty autumnal mornings. Never again the cheery knock of the postman bearing treasure. No more shitting in a bucket. Many happy memories.

The man cave is dead. Long live the man cave!
