Bottom Bracket help?

Taking the muddy fox apart and have been greeted with this BB, Has anyone taken one apart before? What tools do I need?

Cup and cone, yay :LOL:

A pin spanner for holding the centre section and a c spanner for the outer bit. I suspect you'll end up using stilson wreches though!
 
I'm looking at the exact same thing on the KHS :D

So the middle stays put and unscrew the outer then? :?
 
this is what all bottom brackets looked like until about 1990! the outer ring is the lockring,it locks the main bit in place,tap it loose with a screwdriver,if you are lucky you can unscrew the middle bit by hand,if not use a C spanner or again tap it round with a screwdriver,the other side is where you will have a problem as its an opposite thread and DAM tight...
 
Just to confirm for the dimwit (thats me :oops: )

Looking at the left side & and the right side which way am i turning? :oops:

( just want to be sure if using screwdrivers :oops: )
 
You can even see one slot is munged where someone has sued a screwdriver and hammer before :shock: :shock: :shock:

I have the tools for these if you want to borrow.
