Need help identifying a frame/fork to determine trash or treasure. Thanks!

looks like this one - good spot Kev. Check the canti hanger and also where the chain and seat stays meet the dropout. Look the same to me.

See where your coming from with the Spesh angle but those cable guides dont look like any spesh Ive seen.

Hey what year was that rockhopper!!! :shock:

That was the first bike I ever bought for myself, exact same colour red on grey!!! Sadly it got stolen about a year or less later. :cry:


As for weight of the unknown frame/fork:

Frame and fork with headset is 6lbs 4oz.
Frame alone with headset cups in place is 4lbs 8oz.
Fork about 1lbs 10oz with crown race.

Not sure how accurate my scale is, it's one of those digital hand held hanging ones for fishing purposes. For what it's worth my RM Cirrus weights in at about 24lbs 4oz.

It's hard to make out the frame number, it looks to be U8010N25. But don't QUOTE me on that. The letters U and N look a tad taller than the digits in the serial number.

1991 possibly, there was a stumpy comp in the same colour scheme in 1991.
