My son is at Uni in York and I bought him a cheap MTB/Commuter to get around town
When I took him back up yesterday, I'd agreed to stay overnight and service it for him. It was in surprisingly good condition, though the chain was knacekered (not having been lubricated in 18 months - students!)
So, I drove along the Hull road towards the town hoping to find a bike shop and just before the City Walls, found a LBS.
Wandered in and it is a fine, old-fashioned bike shop, run by enthusiasts. Spoke to the guy behind the counter and he asked if I knew about an internet site called 'Retrobike!'
We exchanged details and I discovered I was talking with our very own bikeshopowner! What a great coincidence!
