2008 in My Retrobikes

So heres 2008 in the retro bikes i've owned. A busy year for me. Expanded the range of total bikes to 6 and a half

1st addition was a 98 Stumpy M2 Pro, complete bike.


The frame had a split in the downtube so i replaced the frame with a 2000 M2 in Gulf blue with a pr of Bombers for the front
Never rode it as the Raven turned up


Bought a steel Stumpie


Then replaced the M2 with a Raven, thats in bits for now


Build a Kona for the girlfriend as a commuter, but its with Deore 9spd


As always the P20 and the Bonty are still here

Nice collection there chap.. I have been toying with the idea of a Raven, would be interested to hear how it rides...?

like the Ritchey & Bontrager, nice skinny steel tubes always look

Your Ritchey is one of my favourite bikes on the site.

Yeah have to say the Richey is superb and looks even better in the flesh

The Ravens are good. Well i loved mine bitd. Compared to a normal SuperV the headtube is supposed to flex a little. There was a little flex, but given the direct steering of the headshok its probably still stiffer than a conventional full suss set up. I only changed it because the one i had couldn't take discs and i fancied a change. I did have one fail at the seat mast..... and the one pictured has the recall where they filled the bottom bracket area with expanding foam.... so perhaps a little fragile.....

I started out with NO retro bikes and so far this year have owned:

96 Adroit with Strata, loved it but toooooo small
89 Fisher AL-1 - winter rider
92 FUNK - Not sure yet, fully built
92 Rascal - Summer race bike
90 Klein Quantum - Super cool road training machine..

Not sure what's in store for 09, if I find a Large or X Large 90 Klein Attitude, I will go for it and I'd love a Pace RC200..
