Skinwall tyre's, modern options ?

IRC, only ones I can think of off top of my head, must be others though, just got some oldies on mine at last, look great but didn't really want old rubber!

Cheers, i'll look into those, i agree about old rubber, i beleive it has a shelf life, probably ok for a garage queen.

They are intended for the Manitou which wont be a serious rider but wont be a garage queen either.

there was someone on ebay knocking out panracer fire xc's in skinwall

gravy monster had some on the quantocks ride. looked the part and appeared to work well

Those Panaracers look nice, great price too, got the Fire XC's on my other bikes so i'll probably go for them.

Cheers for the link ;)

We had Panaracer make some Timbuk II tires using the original tooling from the late 1980's. Info is at http://www.firstflightbikes.com/TimbukTire.htm

FWIW, we have about 30 of these left. We did order another batch this week which should arrive in March/April 2009 and will likely be $5-$10 more each tire. We'll hold the current pricing until these are gone.
