Zolatone Paint

A lot of late '80s, early 90s hifi came in a finish called 'Nextel'. Because it was sprayed direct onto cast fascias, it looked great for about 5 seconds. It would peel off very quickly if there was any corrosion on the metal/ damp rooms etc.
I used to repair these amps and Marin frames with this stuff:

It has a very similar finish and does a good job of mimicking the Nextel/ Zolatone finishes.

There is a company i found in the US that makes Zolatone paint to a custom spec, however, i would imagine this would be an expensive route to take!!
