Threaded headset stack heights

I need a 1 1/8th threaded headset, but I only have 32mm stack height.
Anybody have a clue what would be suitable or where I could find out stack heights?
The frame came with an STX one, and I'd rather upgrade, but unsure what would work.
Ta.

If you have an STX then I think all Shimano ones are similar heights.

Failing that, Stronglight and Campagnolo road ones last well and have good seals.

Thanks.
All the Shimano ones are the same.
Just a couple of mm too big really.
Some more investigating needed...

MAVIC one's have a very large stack height (well upper stack height), though you do actually need to have it the full length.

You could use a thinner spacer "washer" or a different clamping mechanism (grub screw style clamping cinch (?) rather than locknut).

Have a look a Ritchey, they should still make some but upper stack heights are higher than the threadless variety. (though they are about the size you want.)

I *think* CK gripnut headsets can be useful if you've not a lot of steerer, the threaded section of the gripnut sits quite low down in the top section.

There are some very low stack height Aheadsets that can be used.

Theres a WTB one (with an orange coloured seal) that is only the cone height. This and a threaded nut with a grub nut will keep it all tight.

I'm talking gibberish but at least I know what I mean.

Will get pics.
