Hello,

Bit of a random question, has anyone done it? Costs invloved?

The buyer appears to be for real with 100% feedback etc

Would like to be able to return some sort of ball park figure to him

Cheers

Dave

Have no clue about the costs, but if I were you, I'd ship it insured and with tracking just to be on a safe side.

I have just got a quote with royal mail , interparcel said my weight/measurements are too big?

I quoted for

13kgs max
182 cm x 134cm x 19cm as measurment.

quotes

£167 5 day signed insurance £150

the last bike box I used to send a bike was 140cm x 80cm x 20cm (originally it had an 18" frame Saracen Zena 2 in it.)

Blimey thats a big difference, I have a load of boxes up in the top of the garage that I had bikes/wheels etc sent to me I just popped me head up there and measured one?

I sent a complete 18" Kona to Australia for £102 in a box 102cm x 68cm x 20cm with parcel2go.com

when shipping abroad often it's not the weight that's the problem but the dimensions - try and get it into the smallest box possible as you'll find a lot of them will charge the same up to 25kgs for a given size box.

if you can do it the same size as orange 71 did (102cm x 68cm x 20cm ) then interparcel is £106 plus vat
