Bomber Fork Help/Views

Bought a nice set/pair/whatever of forks on here (cheers Monsterfat) and got this idea so would like your views please

Bought 2001 Z3's which are 80mm travel and air sprung with a 1 in steerer
Got some 2001 Z2's which are coil/oil and 1 1/8th steerer

Do you reckon its possible to just swap all the internals from one fork to another.
Look very similar and personally can't see why not.

Just not keen on air forks and would like a 1in version of the Z2's

i dont think that is poss, you might be able to swap the crown and steerers

From a manufacturing point of view, having as many common parts between models makes life easier.

You may well be able to swap the sliders as well as the steerer, the only difference may well be the legs, although when apart you may well find that the air spring is in a cartidge inside the leg.

Have a strip down and look. Then let us know

Thanks, shouldn't be a problem to swap the sliders and crown/steerer being all in one piece.

Not sure of the internals, downloaded the manuals and will report back when I get round to taking them apart.

Think the right leg with the rebound adjust might be the sticking point
The Z2 has the adjust on top and the Z£ at the bottom of the leg
