Something about the X1 may give it away as steel....like the support team you need to carry it over a muddy ditch, the alpine star would just float over ;0)

Actually it's not too bad! I've had it under 30lbs... not bad for a 10yr old steel (not Ti sadly...*sigh*) full-suss. I'll post a photo when it's decent again.

Here it is at the Real Ale Wobble in it's 'Mud' livery. The bike in front of it to the left has my old Marzocchi XC51's with the original Hope cable disc brake from 1995.

A review can be found of this bike in an old MBUK 1991 Summer? (or maybe xmas?)

Well worth a look , the bikes on test are:

?Monster/Yo Eddy FAT CITY

PACE RC100 (with RC35s)

AlpinStars Ti Mega

Trek carbon firbe (tubes bonded to alu lugged) with RS1s
