Subject: Pennine bike information

Good evening

I have owned a Pennine roadbike for about 15 yrs now, and do not know its history! I wonder if you may be able to help.

If you click here http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... ht=pennine this links to a page on my cycling website foum, where I am displaying a number of photos of my bike.

I brought it in its original state from Madgetts Cycles in Diss, back in 1994/5. It came with a mix of Campag Record and Shimano 600, and the frame was creamy white with yellow decals.

I raced it for 3 or 4 years, when the seat tube then cracked. I had it repaired by frame builder Geoff Mindum in Suffolk, where I requested the blue paintjob with reproduction decals. I then fitted the Campag Vento wheels.

The bike has since remained unchanged.

Any information you may be able to give me about this much loved bike would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Jon Lee

Good to hear from you Jon. If you let me have a frame number - would be underneath the bottom bracket or on the fork column might give me an accurate date.

Cool.
love it when that happens. Had it with Saracen and Kona.

Customer service counts for so much in my book.

You know, I'm almost tempted to take a drive up there and have a chat with them, and a snout round :D
