Can anyone recommend a resprayer (possibly near Sheffield) ?

Hi Retrobikers,
I've just been quoted an outrageous price from a local frame builder for the respray on my tatty old kilauea.

Can anyone recommend a good resprayer / powder coater? Ideally near Sheffield or somewhere I can send the frame to.

I'm in no rush as I've a stuck bb to shift first.

frame respray

obvious ones are
wilsons on city road
vernon barker in dronfield
dave marsh at universal cycle centre at maltby
or edisons in clowne
tony butterworths might have a contact as well(hillsborough and abbeydale rd)

interested to see who quoted the silly price
but as car spayers will tell you,98% of a good respray is in the preperation prior to painting

Not exactly in Sheffield but there's Chris Marshall in Keighley who also does repairs.

Still in Yorkshire though

Wilsons, his resprays are good but he's almost doubled his prices recently. I'll try Vernon Barker and Edison to see what they quote. Many thanks.

I was told Vernon Barker was packing in the bike shop, I'll give them a call first to check.

respray

m+b in dronfield has shut down,baz the lad that owned it and who vernon workred partime for packed in and went to work for polaris out clowne way
vernon is still working partime out of the shop doing resto's,resprays and frames,he also acts as an advisor in court cases
