Thanks, I'm really pleased with it, good quality bike and a
fantastic ride, feels sporty. Not being much of an expert on
Mountainbikes what do you think sets a Saracen bike ahead
of many others from the same era?

I find that the rough terrain tyres are the only downside when
on the road. I've seen 1" slicks on Ebay for 26" mtb wheels,
they seem a bit small so maybe 1.50-ish road tyres?
I won't be doing much off roading but won't be able to resist
a bit of trail riding at some point.

There are some great looking Saracen's on here, all credit to
you guys who have done some great rebuilds.
Love the Kili frames, what a great design.

The love is growing and this thread keeps on growing! Wow. Just wow!

Will be talking to the new folks behind Saracen soon, and rest assured, I'll be making sure they see this!

Gravy Monster told me to post these pictures here. 46 pages of Saracens. You're all quite, quite mad. Thank goodness!

You can probably tell which picture is 1988 and which are 2010, but see the thread on MTB's before 1995 for the full story.
