Looking for Any Service Info for Stratos Air Shock

Hello from South Dakota, USA,

I know this a long shot, but... I recently was able to acquire a Proflex 856 that has Stratos air shocks fore & aft. They seem to hold air OK, but sound terrible - squishy sounding is the best description. I have Googled until my Googler is sore, and was only able to find 2 things useful to my problem: by removing the air valve I could check oil level, and, Stratos used ATF not oil. Can anyone fill in any blanks about replacing the fluid or tearing the shock down?

Thank you,

John

Black Hills eh - did some awesome motorbiking through there a couple decades ago!!

Hydraulically activated shocks often do make a squishy sound, as the fluid squeezes through all the tiny orfices. That said, no idea if your shock is should do such or not, but some more insightful members should (hopefully) be posting on here shortly ...

Cheers, and good luck with the project.
