marin team titanium......or is it????

Looks like steel to me, as I can usually sniff out the magic metal anywhere and I noticed the welds too and they say steel to me.

The sultan has a lot of cool stuff, a lot of the time but:

"A Marin Team Titanium top of the line mountain bike frame with custom Columbus over size Cro-Molly quad butted tubing. Steel hard tails RULE! This is a great steel hard tail..."

um. what?!

Steel ? It looks like it's rusting around the bottle mounts. Nice drop-outs.

Decals make no sense ?

They seem to be job lot, don't they?

Main ones later than frame - style of top tube/seat tube junction surely much earlier than 96? And I haven't heard of Columbus Nivacrom EL before - leggera = light? Is it a mtb tubeset or road?

ELOS tubing is Extra Light Over Sized:

but I haven't seen a tapered seat tube in ELOS, and that's definitely a standard Marin rear end with the cast Marin dropouts. I don't think the ELOS label has anything to do with the tubing used on this frame.

Could it be a frame with a replaced seat tube (looks almost like a taper-tube Serotta) and a respray job?
