My first ever suspension fork, still stashed in the garage somewhere. I see your stanchions have worn nicely, mine were the same. In the end they were so worn I had to retire them.

i read on a site recently that you can chrome the stantions to reduce stiction
when you add the layer of chrome they should be good for a few more years
they originaly had a teflon coating so the chrome should do the same job what do you think
got a local firm that does electro plating and have had a few jobs done by them for practically nothing

Interesting idea. It'd have to be a pretty thick layer of chrome, and only thick in the right places.
