Hi,

Any help would be appreciated - stickered as a Kona cindercone with similar if not identical cable routing but has ritchey tange stamps on socket drop outs with a richey tange prestige sticker on the frame ...... I’m going to build it up but not sure if it is worth doing - I was hoping it was a Kona !! All cable routing is top tube and it is 1 1/8 threadless ...... help would be very much appreciated

Despite the lack of pictures anymore I'm pretty sure this frame has been discussed before (here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=262761&hilit=kona) I think it was mooted that it could be a Voodoo which would account for the similar geometry as a Kona and for the Ritchey dropouts which came on the Bizango for a while. Either way it's a decent quality frame so well worth building up!

Hi - thanks for that , I’ve only just acquired it and bought it as a Kona !! Hopefully it is a decent frame and worth building - I will have a look through the other thread . The cable guides are exactly the same as Kona oddly though the seat stay bridges are curved indicating it to not be a Kona .....

After heaps of catalogue searching I thin it may be a Merlin Tange Prestige. It has the ritchey Tange Prestige sticker and similar seat stays with the curved brace and full top tube cable routing with the ritchey tange drop out sockets ...... could this be it ? Weighs about 4.5 lb with the B.B. and headset cups in so is likely to be the 4.2lb Merlin advertised . Anyone assist with this and tell me if these are any good ? If not would I get any money back parting with it to get the Kona I thought it was ? Cheers
