Hi there!

I´d just like to drop you some details and pictures about the latest Spanish classic MTB meeting which took place from the 8th to 10th this month.

This event is called "YonTi", as a joke in spanish which means "YONkis del TItanio" (something like titanium junkies). On its 11th edition, this time we met in a big country house located more or less at 200 kms from Madrid, for those ones who know a little bit the spanish geography. The town is called Piedrabuena, but we prefer to call it "Stonegood", as in english everything seems to sound better... ;-)

We met 22 retro-freaks from every spanish zone, and we took many bikes, accesories, miscelanea, the best food and of course drinks. Yonti is a closed and private group with our own language, jokes and way of understanding our retro MTB mental disease. The group is formed by more than 50 people with dozens of spectacular classic bikes. We were counting just the titanium ones, and they´re about 70 bikes...
On this year´s meeting, 20 titanium bikes + one 1st gen Merlin frame were shown there.

Well, in those three days we had a great time talking about bikes, eating the best groceries, dishes and drinks, and enjoying all the restorations presented there. One titanium Linskey and one Klein Rascal were also built there together with the help of many good friends.
As usual, we had a superb ride in the green landscapes of that part od Spain, we made our special competition called "Xtreme to the lake" (with its own trophy), wear our official event tees, get everything you wanted from the "karma corner", and drink and laugh until very late in the night.

The weather was really surprisingly mild as normally in this time of the year this zone is super hot, and some of the retro guys also had a good bath in the river near to the house.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures and story as we did those days. We´re glad to share with you retro MTB lovers from all around the world, our love for this bikes and everything related to it.

Cheers from the Spanish retro MTB community!

Re:

Slightly off topic but does any of the group know of any good trails near Bejar or Salamanca? I’m off there in July with my bike and can’t find much info online
