Klein MC2 Fork Stuck in Steerer tube

Hi all.
I’m new to the Klein MC2 headset inner workings and just acquired a 96 Attitude MC2. After removing the Klein Locknut and MC2 StemBar, are there any other nuts bolts or screws holding the fork to the frame. I’m assuming that it would fall right off from below.

However, this is not the case. The fork is still stuck and despite malleting the steerer tube from above, nothing seems to budge. What am I doing wrong here. And what should I do without destroying the fork, bearings and frame.

Pls help.

Re: Re:

Let me get this straight; the bearings are both glued (loctite) to the fork and frame? Anyway I stopped banging on the steerer tube. Now the problem is that I have no idea who in Singapore has this headset removal tool from Klein.

The bearings and steerer are loctited in. Klein made a tool set that pressed these out. Not sure how safe the mallet approach is, potential to damage the top of the steerer. http://forums.mtbr.com/attachments/vint ... manual.pdf

Re:

I've got the original headset tool but haven't used it yet.
You can check the Klein tech manual.
