I love my Marin and have owned it since 1998, it is really well spec'd and although it's old school and maybe not as fast as modern MTBs, I really want to keep it on the road (trail!).

I think my forks need new bushes as I can see them rocking back and forth when the brakes are on. I realize the forks are old (Manitou Answer Spyder) but the bike's only done about 2000 miles (most of it in last 2 years as it hung up in the garage for years brand new) and I wonder whether you can service them to get rid of the wobble?

I am based in Warrington in the UK and would like to find a) the parts and b) someone to overhaul the forks

Kind Regards

Andy C

I'm sure you could find the parts and get them serviced, but by the time you've done that, you may be into the cost of new/2nd hand and better fork territory. I guess it depends on how much you want to keep it stock?

Agree with the above, I'd use the money it would cost to get a better second hand pair. I'd imagine up to 100mm travel would be fine.
