I had this issue on a steel framed pine mountain. Addressed easily with a simple serrated kitchin knife. Saw through gently...even more gently when the blade nears the threaded shell. Mine cut through leaving no damage to the threads. Probably be even more careful if its alloy

It's stuck on the bb,not in the frame!
If I do destroy it I will be short one nds cup.i can't find anywhere that sells them!
Anybody know where I can get one?

You can but a basic complete shimano bb from chain reactions for a tenner. Cant buy the cups alone

The trouble is that when I fit the ds cup it pushes the bb even further into the nds cup!
