Hi all, just wondered if any of you have any recommendations for non spd mtb shoes.

I tend to just wear a pair of vans but they are wrecked and not very waterproof but the grip on a set of v12s is fantastic!

I used vans for years, then got a pair of 5ten freerider elements. They embarass vans!

The Adidas trailcross shoes seem to be getting great reviews too, I'll be trying them next.

Re:

Thanks for the reply I'll have a look at these and get something ordered hopefully in time for the weekend :xmas-cool:

Re:

5ten freeriders are excellent. I have a pair for when I'm riding flats, it's like having cleats almost, until you are used to them, probably feel too grippy.

Re:

Always used to get by with old skate shoes (Etnies are my preferred) but I recently bought some 'waterproof' Gelert lightweight walking shoes which cost £25 from sports direct. Can't really fault them for the money and they have proper angry treads so are very grippy!!
