fitting Maguras to canti frame?

I'm interested in trying Magura hydraulic rim brakes on one of my retro MTBs, but I'm concerned (or curious) about how you route the hoses on a bike that has cable stops for cantilevers. is it a case of zip-tying the hose to the frame? Or is there a more elegant solution? Anyone got any photos? Cheers.

Drillum. It's permanent though.

Various self-adhesive cable guides (e.g. BBB).

The above is the best option.

I remember the original cable between two the two cable stops that held a sleeve in place that the hose went through................ right faff

I have a better option, but does need you to bleed the brake...

You need an old gear cable, a small solderless nipple, and a length of heatshrink.

cut your heatshrink to fit between your cable bosses

Thread your brake hose and cable through the heatshrink

stretch the gear cable between your bosses, and clamp it with your solderless nipple so you have it taught between the bosses.

Apply heat; done.

This is how the pukka magura kit works.
