Postage advice?

Hi All,
I've been AWOL from biking for a long time and realise that I need to sort out and move on a few things.
I have seen that 'Senditnow' are good for a whole bike collection and delivery ( should anyone want my Bonty! )
I've also some 1" forks which I've made boxes for, so they are about 80cm long, ~ 2-3Kg -ish.
How would you send them?

I don't want to post anything for sale without some idea of how best to send such items.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
cheers

Re:

For the smaller stuff I'd use Royal Mail, Collect+, Hermes etc....
Just check the maximum length accepted.
If the fork crown can be removed try that go reduce the size.

Re:

OK....
I've just chatted to a mate who does a lot of ebay ( non bike ) stuff.
He's mentioned Hermes too.
Will look them up.
cheers
