I have a vinyl covered 80's mtb saddle with a tear at the back, I'd like to repair the damage as best I can.
Ive already googled this and found lots of discussions about recovering saddles completely, but I want to keep the original covering and just repair the rip pictured below.

Is there a "kit" that will glue, fill, and colour in the damage? Maybe something normally used for vehicle upholstery etc?

Re:

Hi Jim
Yes you can :D I repaired a Flite with a tear using a Leather repair compound and then a dye from "The Scratch Doctor" I'm pretty sure they sell on Ebay but their number is 0151 4804640.
All their stuff comes with instructions and you can also download them from their website.

My advice is to take your time and build the filler up slowly just like doing car bodywork repairs, smoothing off with fine grade wet and dry after each application and then use the dye if you need to at the end.
