As above. Need the details/technique. Finally given up. Snapped off today at the frame with all the stress I've bee giving it, slide hammer etc. Now I need science.

Make sure you mix a strong potion! My first two attempts did not work. The third with plenty of caustic did ....and it was quite impressive! :D

Has worked every time for me. benefits include saving paintwork, eyes, and 17 hacksaw blades.. :)

I do it differently, i've had no demo jobs though! I keep saying "next time i will film the procedure" alas, no stuck seatposts since.

Depends on what you are faced with though. if it's the whole post, then that's easy, but if you are faced with half inch of remaining alloy peeping out of the frame then, caustic will take the graft out of it.
