Hi all,

Did the XT seatpost change a lot after it was first introduced (in 1989?) and could this be used to accurately date one?

No, but the date stamp Shimano put on everything can.

One I have here has NA on it - looks like January 1989 - unless the NA is on every XT post, I only have the one?

Seems it has "ND" mark (1989 April) so I think all seatpost stamped.

I don't want check mine, the bike is sleeping in the shed and waiting for the spring...
