Cracks on hope hub shells, terminal?

I have come across a nice Hope hub, think it's a Fatso?

Pretty decent condition other than a crack in one of the flanges.

Does this mean the end for this hub or do these cracks tend not to go anywhere?

Re:

It's a Suspension, not as bad as the FatSo for cracking.
That's actually quite wide compared to mine, I rode mine with cracks but hairline not wide open, for quite a bit. But eventually it was laid to rest ( I rammed it into a carpark height barrier).
But it's not worth the risk building it up.
Ornament it and find another hub :)

Oddly they tend not to travel up the rest of it.

Re:

That's bad. So much for expensive high-end British engineered/manufactured products – we should have a guaranteed future exporting to Johnny Foreigner then. No Hope.

i was told by someone who claimed to know about these things that as long as the cups are well stuck on to the body then there is no problem.
I disagreed.
As above I am riding one of these with some very fine cracks and not bothered, but a wider crack might worry me.

Re:

Yeah, that's screwed.

I've had a few go that way, it's a common issue with them. They can crack out from the spoke holes to the edge of the flange too. I guess the titanium & aluminium must have different coefficients of expansion. It doesn't seem to effect the rears as much, but the flanges are thicker/chunkier on those.
