Brake cable protector/sheath

Folks,
I'm trying to source in either clear or black the very narrow tubing that is used over exposed gear/brake cables between the cable stops usually along the toptube in place of using 'donuts'.
Google-foo is not working, anyone know what its actual name is and where I can get hold of some?

If you have some spare outer brake cable, pull it apart and use the inner liner. It's usually white though, not black or clear.

I needed some and specifically wanted black. The only stuff I could find that wasn't ridiculously oversized was this:

I used the 1/8" one, it's *just* wide enough internally for brake cables. As you can see I had to buy 30m so have plenty spare. PM me your address and how much you want and I'll bung some in the post for you.

heat shrink tubing ;)
I got mine from maplin, cant remember the size :? 1.5mm or something.

Slide on, taking note of cable movement, so it it cannot go right to the ends(3/4" about)

Then on with the hairdryer :D Works an absolute treat.

I use half about 1999 or 2000 and the other unused half i keep moving from place to place, tucking it behind a shelf ,then in a drawer, then in the toolbox and so on and so forth, these last 16 odd years.
Im still sure ill find another use for it
