Gaaaar, bad times mate. Always easier to bend the modern nonsense instead of one you're attached to.

Is it a crack in the frame itself or just in the paint? If you're not sure, remove the paint in that area.
If it's just the paint, a repaint will do, if not it's time to look for a replacement frame or a good welder.

I've heard there can be issues welding up M2 frames as trying to get a filler rod that is compatible is difficult due to the composition of the alloy.
If it were me I'd be sticking the frame on the wall and buying a replacement. Loads of them about and lots in good shape.

Sorry to hear that :(
I had one the first batch of 500 M2s and exactly the same happened to mine although I was lucky it was replaced under warranty by Spesh .

That isn't particularly good original welding but should be easily re welded by a quality tig welder using a compatible wire filler.

RIP faithful steed....

Welding M2 is a very specialized operation (pun intended). Fillers aren't easily available for it in the wild, and as it's a 6000 based alloy, heat treatment would be required after. The frames were originally welded by Anodizing Inc, because Spec. didn't have the expertise in-house.
