Saved this from the scrapman this week but I'm not convinced it's what it say's it is so thought I'd ask the experts, it's got a 26.4 seat post, I can't find a frame number or any other marks, it has two bottle cage mounts on the top of the down tube & single cable guide on the top tube. form what I can see may have run Deore Lx groupset, has slr brakes. Any help greatly apprecihated!

1991 Prestige?

Do the tubes go a thin twangy sounding 'ting' or a gaspipe style 'thunk'?

Cable routing is different here but...

Re:

Yes I was wondering maybe muddy fox, I just couldn't find anything that matched it. bottle cage mounts really confused my as nearly everything has them on the seat tube.
Paint looks original however didn't they do the muddy fox in just orange? Maybe the white was added later.
Going to start a strip down when I finish my run of nights so may turn up a few answers?
Seat tube sounds tingy, top & down tube sound a bit more thunk.

Re:

Orange Clockwork ain't it. I think it may be an early one too as the decals suggest 1989-91 but the canti stop on the rear and cable routing don't match most from that era. My guess would be an early team frame and very nice it is too!

Re:

Looks like the Muddy Fox Courier LGF posted but with Orange branding for some reason. Could it have been an early (pre-90's) developmental frame using a generic frame?

I still think Muddy Fox but then I'm now off to buy all Couriers and Prestiges to respray them and pass them off as Clockworks.
