Hi folks,

I would appreciate your thoughts on the following.

Rear mech cable routing. As you will see in the photos, the stop is on the r/h side. L/h one is dedicated brake, as there is a noodle on the seat tube that side.

Which would you choose?

Re:

Hi Mike,

I would go for the option shown on the top. Just use an outer cable which is slightly longer than pictured for smoother routing.

Thanks Juergen, ;)

Was wondering about using brake outer cable, as it is more flexible.

You can't see from the photo, but the cable does go down before coming back up to the stop, so will be long enough.
Not for the option below it though.

Option 2 is work of the devil.

Option one will wear the paint off the frame and bugger the cable outer.

Wider bars and longer cable?

Never managed to ruin a cable with that routing myself. You'll get cable rub wherever you put the cable, strategically placed frame protection is your friend.
