Clear lacquer confusion

Hi all. I'm buying some clear lacquer too go over some decals on a marzocchi fork. What's confusing me is some cans(on amazon) just say clear lacquer,some say matt and others gloss.
Which should I use?

What a Matt finish, not likely, buy the Matt

If they are a self coloured vinyl, there is no need to clear coat, if they are a full colour print, it will improve durability but in most cases isn't essential

Lacquer - Clear Coat - Vanish whatever you want to call it, essentially is the same

They all have a certain "finish" as a rule, gloss or satin (slightly gloss), some with also be available in Matt, I would just confirm with whoever you order it from
