I just saw one of these in my local shops, for 499 Euros. Looks to be entry level but considering fat bikes are more a toy than a serious MTB, high grade groupsets are probably not particularly important. I must say at this price, I'm tempted.

I can't find any reviews of it online, this is the bike:

Any ideas, is it junk, OK, etc.?

Re:

My advice, pick it up

There was a cheap one being serviced in my lbs a while ago.

Weighed the same as a small house

 where did you get that idea from?

They're just as serious as any other Mtb, just because they look silly doesn't necessarily mean they are silly ;)

I think you can get a much better specced hardtail Mtb for that price, and it'll probably weigh a lot less too, companies just cashing in on the Fat Bike fashion and selling low end bikes at mid-range prices.
I'd look elsewhere personally.

If you do want a fat bike then ask around on here, quite a few of the MacRetro clan have them, and I definitely wouldn't call them "toys"!

I love my fat bike I've a salsa mukluk it's the best bike in my fleet my advice would to buy the bike then up grade the kit later on
