Alves Rims Advice, Suggestion Please!

I'm building my old Alves, have forks, stem, hubs and tyres, but I'm stumped for rims

fancied Campag Atek but hard to come by, and expensive too!

can't decide if they should be black or silver either..... :facepalm:

what do you reckon?

No particular inspiration on the type of rims other than to suggest silver with black nipples.

Black or silver would work with that lot, my personal preference would be black, or perhaps the dark grey "CD" anodized finish on Mavic rims? Some MA40MB's would fit the bill.

atek rims are what i had in my mind, but not so sure with with the magics.....

I think lack rims with silver spokes. Not sure that the magics will suit though. I think keeping it black and silver with black skin walls would look great, though slightly biased as just carried that off (without skin walls) on my sts build.

What year is the build? Im sure silver rims were on the early mtb, black rims appearing a while later, circa late 90s.... or that is how i remember it.

I prefer black rims but its up to you, either be fine. Also black will give better contrast for the white tyres.
