Judy springs

I've picked up what look cosmetically like a really good condition pair of early Judy XCs (mushroomy gold colour). However, while they go up and down they don't really "bounce". Most likely then that the elastomers are mush.

I have two other pairs of these both sprung and also a set of elastomers that came out of "my" set BITD when replaced for springs. I need to have a close look at these and they may well be alright but that can't really be guaranteed.

Ideally then I'd like a set of springs for them. I see that Judy springs can be had on ebay but I'm clueless on the "type" which seems to form part of the description on the ebay sales.

Obviously I need some for 63mm (I'd be happy to go up to 80mm if that's not a problem) and I'm average to light weight at 73kg. Can anyone advise?

i got the heavy kronos springs for mine, all easy and fine. I guess you are talking about the early judy fork (95/96 i think) which is dead easy, like these... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=330665
Later models it gets confusing with different types.

Cool, ta. Yes, they're an early set like my owned from new set which were '95. Good news that at that age it's just one type.
