so at the weekend i picked up my 96 Orange P7, tried to move the seatpost which was solid, after a few days of penetrating oil and a hammer, ive got it out, then couldnt get it, or any of my other seatposts back in, so confusion set upon me. were things the wrong size, were things bent, what the hell is going on.

So I started searching these hallowed pages only to find exactly the info i was looking for, saving me no end of stress, and im now on track to get my first ride by the weekend at the latest, so thanks loads.

Yeah, the collective knowledge on this site is astounding (and the individual knowledge too!).

Post some photos when you can.

And welcome.

nice one dude, its great when forums can do more than show off what weve got/want/had and to rant in. think its time we had a technical section??

Re:

A tech section would be a great thing, particularly if it was segregated into brands of bikes to narrow it down a bit

.. and parts... :D

I'd do some howtos on Mags and Judys, shifters, thumbies...
Write up the measurements of seals and o-rings, so you could service them properly
That would be great.
